Our approach
Ideal Training Centre aims to provide respectful, inclusive access to information and services. We work with visitors to understand access needs and identify reasonable accommodations.
Our website design target is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA. This is a design and improvement goal, not a claim that every aspect of the site or third-party content has been independently certified.
Features available on this website
- Responsive layouts, readable text and contrasting text/background colours.
- Keyboard-accessible navigation, a skip-to-content link and visible focus indicators.
- Descriptive image alternatives, form labels and indications of required fields.
- Facility and racing tabs that support arrow-key navigation.
- Automatic photo and facility slides with pause controls. Slides also pause while you hover over or use keyboard controls within their section. The decorative harness-racing animation and automatic slides respect reduced-motion settings.
- A video player that loads only on request, with direct links to the official video source.
You can use your browser’s zoom and text-size controls. On smaller screens, open the navigation menu to reach each main section. Press Escape to close that menu or a gallery photograph.
Third-party content and known limitations
YouTube videos and linked racing services are maintained by other organizations. Captions, audio description, player controls and the accessibility of their pages depend on those providers. Not every race video has captions or audio description. Our photographs and page text describe the facility without requiring video playback.
The enquiry form opens your email application and requires you to send the prepared message yourself. If that method is unavailable or difficult to use, call us or email us directly. We have not yet completed an independent accessibility audit across all assistive technologies.
Planning an accessible visit
This is a working equine property. Outdoor routes and operational areas may include gravel, uneven ground, weather-related conditions, moving horses and equipment. Please contact us before a visit to discuss the areas you want to see and any mobility, sensory, communication or support needs.
We can discuss suitable routes, meeting arrangements, communication formats, a support person or service animal, taking account of horse safety and applicable accessibility requirements. Do not assume every barn, track area or outdoor route has the same physical access features. We will discuss alternatives where a route or activity presents a barrier.
Feedback and accessible formats
Tell us about an accessibility barrier by phone or email. If possible, include the page or feature, what prevented access, and how you would prefer us to respond. You do not need to disclose a diagnosis to raise a concern.
You may request the information on this website in an alternative accessible format or with communication support. We will work with you to identify a suitable format and a reasonable timeframe, without an additional charge for the accessible format.
We use feedback to improve the website and our visitor arrangements. General background is available from Accessibility in Ontario and the WCAG 2.2 guidelines.
